Testwell CMT++ / Graphical User Interface

(This GUI is available on Windows only)

The CMT++ Graphical User Interface is primarily just a graphical wrapper program for using the core cmt.exe command line tool and for starting the viewer (a handler program in general) on the CMT++ output file.

On Windows platform the Testwell CMT++ tool is started from an icon, or by selecting Start > Programs > Testwell CMT++, and the following panel shows up.

CMT++ GUI

(Here some files have already been selected into measuring...)  The CMT++ Visual Studio integration uses this same interface; it is just started so that the "Files to be measured" area is prefilled with the source files of the current project.

In this panel you can select more files into measuring with "Select..." and "Select Recursively..." buttons and remove them from measuring with "Remove" and "Remove all" buttons. You select the report type, report level, the output file name, and the viewer (e.g. notepad when textual report, or excel when excel report) that will be started on the output file. Note that as viewer you can also bring in your own "postprocessing tool", which gets called with the output file name as argument.

Once you are satisfied with the CMT++ tool parameterisation, you click on "Run" button and the selected files will be measured and the report is produced.
