One of the main topics at the Embedded Software Engineering Kongress (ESE) in Sindelfingen (Germany) was the new standard ISO 26262 Road Vehicles - Functional Safety. During the event Verifysoft has shown testing solutions which support this new standard.
Beginning of 2012 Verifysoft will exhibit at Software Quality Days in Vienna/Austria (17 -19 January) and at Embedded World in Nuremberg/Germany (28 February - 1 March).
A two-days-training "Testing of Embedded Systems" will take place 13 and 14 February in Rotterdam/Netherlands. |

On 7th December 2011, Coverity held the first Coverity Exchange event in London, UK. The aim of the event was really to showcase the success that our clients have achieved in the area of development testing. Software development leaders came together to hear our clients´ presentations and to discuss industry best practices for software quality in development.
Fons Rademakers of CERN explained how Coverity is helping to ensure the accuracy of the Large Hadron Collider analysis software. Florian Moesch of Draeger Medical use Coverity to ensure the quality of a number of its devices. Frank Klosek of Schneider Electric did a brilliant presentation explaining how Coverity development testing has helped his organization drive significant improvements in quality and achieve Return on Investment in less than 9 months!

Roland Bär, Chief Technical Officer of Verifysoft Technology, has shown Test Coverage on Android Phones at droidconNL which has taken place on 22/23 November 2011 at INIT, Czaar Peterstraat 213 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The presentation has been done with Testwell CTC++, a test coverage tool which is widely used in the telecommunication, automotive, healthcare and aeronautics sectors.

Verifysoft Technology presented Testing Tools for embedded systems at Bit & Chips Embedded Systemen which has taken place on 18 November 2011 at Evoloun in Eindhoven, Netherlands.
Testwell CTC++ is a test coverage analyser which works with any compiler and any embedded target. For this reason the tool is widely used in embedded software projects.
Visitors at our booth had also a look to Testwell CMT++ Code Complexity Measures Tool, the test execution tool Elvior TestCast, the profiler, recorder and debugger Software Diagnostics Developer Edition, and to our new Test Management Tool QMetry.

Testwell announces the availability of a new version of "CTC++ Host Run-Time add-on" for Testwell CTC++.
CTCHRT is a new innovation for measuring code coverage at target machines. In it the instrumented program at the target writes on the fly the coverage data to the host, where it is collected to a file (probefile). Later, at the host, a CTCHRT utility is run to read the probefile and to map the execution data to the instrumented source files and to create (or to sum up) the datafile, which contains the execution data in the normal CTC++ tool chain form. Thereafter the coverage and timing reports are obtained normally with the ctcpost and ctc2html utilities.
CTCHRT v2.0 is primarily an upgrade of this add-on component to the basic CTC++ v7.0 level. Also some enhancements in the tool. Linux support added (CTCHRT host side).

Our partner Elvior, vendor of the test automation tool Elvior TestCast started to provide the migration services to convert your test suites from TTCN-2 to TTCN-3.
TTCN-2 is an outdated technology replaced by by more advanced TTCN-3 testing technology. There are still organisations that have huge amount of legacy TTCN-2 test suites from the past. Those legacy TTCN-2 test suites keep those companies stuck in TTCN-2 legue and prevent them to enjoy the benefits of TTCN-3. Testwell announce the availability of version 7.0, a major upgrade version of the leading test coverage tool Testwell CTC++. The major enhancements in this version are:
- Reporting of statement coverage.
- Explicit reporting of MC/DC coverage (modified condition/decision coverage).
Previously it had to be concluded from multicondition coverage reporting.
- In license control upgraded from Flexlm v9.2 to v11.9.1 use.
The Hota add-on which allows for analysing test coverage in embedded targets has been upgraded to version 5.0. Customers with valid software maintenance will receive the update free of charge. |

At the Embedded World 2011 Congress in Nuremberg (Germany), Verifysoft Technology presented tools for testing and analysis of embedded software. The Code Coverage Analyser Testwell CTC++ checks test coverage with all embedded targets and all compilers.
Testwell CMT++ Code Complexity Measures Tool shows parts of your code which is error prone and difficult to maintain.
Specialists of the company Elvior (Tallinn, Estonia) presented Elvior TestCast. TestCast is a test execution tool for testcases written in TTCN-3. This tool is complementary to our automatic test case generator Conformiq Tool Suite. By using Conformiq Tool Suite together with Elvior TestCast, customers get an end-to-end testing automation for functional testing.
Verifysoft has also organised a tombola for winning a place for the seminar "Testing Embedded Systems". The winner is E. Philipp (Liebherr-Elektronik GmbH).
